Building an Enterprise-wide Compliance Framework |
| |
| Abstract |
With increasing high-profile cases involving corporate governance and accountability,
most global organizations have to deal with a new set of regulations and enforcement
initiatives such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Securities and Exchange Commission
Rule 17-a, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Basel II, and the
USA Patriot Act. As organizations try to comply with multiple industry, state and
international mandates, they are finding it challenging to keep costs under control for
meeting individual regulations. Tracking preparedness of meeting individual regulations is
expensive and leads to poor audits.
This paper highlights the significance of a flexible enterprise-wide Compliance Framework that can be used by organizations to achieve and maintain compliance with multiple regulatory mandates.
