Patni's skilled BroadVision resources and offshore transition methodologies enabled timely launch of the portal, with high cost benefits from optimal offshoring.
The Client
A Fortune 500 company, a $4.1 billion global provider of integrated mail and document management solutions.
The Challenge
The company has ground operations in USA, Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific (Japan, Australia, New Zealand), China and South Africa. The client's portal served as a customer-facing channel and was a crucial instrument of branding. In order to align the portal with the growing global presence of the organisation, there was a need to make it multilingual. Also, the increasing diversity of the customer base called for making the portal more navigable and providing it with a userfriendly look and feel. This called for a redesign of the portal. To achieve reliability, scalability, and maintainability, the portal had also to be migrated from BroadVision Commerce V6.0 to BroadVision Commerce V7.0 with a Struts framework. The client needed implementation and enhancement of the BroadVision platform but did not have the requisite skills in-house.
The Solution
Patni ramped up a team of trained BroadVision resources at a short notice and developed a migration strategy ground up. Patni worked alongside multiple project teams and played a pivotal role in identifying and integrating their diverse approaches in a timely manner.
Patni was responsible for:

Re-engineering the existing applications for BroadVision, removing inconsistencies. |
