  3. Are the courses conducted by Patni the same as those conducted by Echelon?  
    Patni being an authorized training partner of Echelon Corp, the courses conducted by Patni are the same as conducted by Echelon. The duration, course coverage and the hands-on details are exactly as described on the Echelon website.  
       
  4. How do I know which courses are necessary for my requirement?  
    The courses are offered for two categories of audiences:
  • Network/System Integrators - Patni recommends 201-LonWorks Network Design followed by 301-Using LonMaker Integration Tool for Network/System Integrators
  • Device Developers - Patni recommends 201-LonWorks Network Design followed by 401-LonWorks Device Development for Device Developers.
  
  5. What are the pre-requisites to attend the courses?  
   
Pre-requisites are:
  • Working knowledge of Windows 98 or Windows NT/2000/XP
  • A basic understanding of LonWorks concepts and terminology - A free eTraining course,
    Introduction to the LonWorks Platform, is available at http://www.echelon.com/training/etraining/ for getting introduced to LonWorks concepts and terminologies.

  8. Are the course fees similar to the course fees charged by Echelon, USA?  
    The course fees charged by Patni are substantially lower than the course fees charged by Echelon, USA. Refer to training information document for more details on course fees and available discounts.  
       
  9. Are there any discounts available?  
    Multi-Course, Multi-Students, University Discounts are available. Kindly refer to the training information document for more details. These are the only available discounts.  
       
  10. Do I need to pay in US Dollars only?  
    Not necessary. The payments are accepted in USD (US Dollars) from foreign nationals/NRI and INR (Indian Rupees) from Indian residents.  
       
  11. What modes of payments are available?  
    The payments can be made with a demand/bank draft payable at Mumbai or via a bank transfer. More details are available in the training information document.  
       
  12. Is it possible to conduct the training at our premises?  
    No. Currently Patni is not offering any onsite training.
