While the concept of Grid Computing has grown in mindshare and relevance in the industry, till date Grid solutions have focused on the virtualization, sharing, aggregation and management of distributed resources at the server and storage level. As SOA adoption increases, there is a strong business case for creating a grid-enabled service execution platform for enterprise wide SOA.

AquilaPatni's research and incubation effort in Grid Technology is centered around the value proposition of an Agile Enterprise. Our focus is to address infrastructure modernization needs using grid-enabled virtualization and as a fabric that maintains well defined service interactions based on industry standards like WSDL, XML, BPEL. Patni has defined a roadmap for creating an agile enterprise, one of the levers for which is the strategic deployment of Grid enabled services infrastructure which is tightly integrated at the architecture level.
