Learning at PatniAdding PACE to your Career
The ‘Patni Academy for Competency Enhancement’ (PACE) offers technical training. The qualitative objective of PACE is to groom campus recruits in relevant technical streams. Skill sets of employees are continuously upgraded to enhance the competency levels of employees as per the job requirements.

BITS Pilani
Patni has tied up with the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani for conducting a two-year off-campus Master of Science collaborative degree programme in Software Engineering. This provides an opportunity for employees to enhance their academic qualifications and synergize theory and practice on a sustained basis. It also allows employees to be multi-skilled with exposure to upcoming technology areas. This initiative has enabled many Patni employees to participate in a better way in organizational initiatives and provide meaningful insights.

Learning & Development
The Learning & Development (L& D) function imparts necessary ‘behavioral’ and ‘soft skill’ training to employees at Patni. L&D focuses on offering Patni employees learning solutions in the areas of:

  • Language Skills.

e-MBA
Our specially designed programmes like the BITS-Pilani programme, Patni Management Excellence programme from IIM-A, e-MBA from IIM-Kozhikode, Knowledge Management programme and various  L&D programmes are acknowledged as crucial competitive differentiators by the industry. To enhance the conceptual knowledge level and thought leadership quality of its employees, Patni encourages and supports its high potential employees to obtain management education without taking a break from their work. The e-MBA offering from IIM Kozhikode helps to enhance the managerial capability of employees. Patni motivates, financially sponsors and supports the participation of potential leaders in this programme.

Grooming Future Managers
The L&D function provides focused attention to the company’s growing need for managerial talent. L&D designs and conducts focused management development programmes taking into account the company’s business priorities and leadership development requirements. We follow a flexible approach and programmes are regularly modified based on feedback. L&D also provides a forum for sharing of and learning from business concepts, issues and solutions.

Boosting intellectual capital through Knowledge Management
Knowledge Management is another key initiative that enhances the domain knowledge of our employees. Patni has a rich repository of knowledge covering the entire IT spectrum which captures the learnings of our employees over the years. The Knowledge X’change site (KX) serves as a gateway for our global workforce to share knowledge. KX is a user-driven, wall-to-wall collaboration platform that empowers all our employees to contribute and access resources that cover a diverse range of industry and technology practices. KX effectively captures the entire legacy and current learning to equip our teams with the full arsenal of Patni specific knowledge so that they can excel in the fast paced 24x7 IT world. The main goal of KM at Patni is to inculcate the culture of ‘Shared Learning’.
