CAMBRIDGE, MA, JULY 27, 2006 - Patni Computer Systems Ltd., a leading global
IT consulting and services provider, today announced that it is the first and only
offshore service provider to receive accreditation under the MSPAlliance's (MSPA)
Managed Services Accreditation Program (MSAP). MSAP is the first program of its
kind, specifically designed and created to provide customers of managed services
providers with the assurance that the services provider they hire meets or exceeds
the highest principles of quality in areas such as financial stability, facilities,
managed services practices and customer satisfaction.
Through this alliance, Patni will increase the value it is delivering to its Infrastructure
Management Services customers by collaborating with other service providers and
technology enablers to develop best practices and improve ROI in technology
procurement and implementation. Patni is the only offshore outsourcing provider
with this accreditation, which assures customers of the highest quality service
standards in addition to the traditional benefits of outsourcing services such as
lowered total cost of ownership.
"The Managed Services Accreditation Program is a rigorous program that
benchmarks and verifies the quality of the company providing managed services,"
said Charles Weaver, MSPAlliance president. "We are very proud to have Patni
Computer Systems as the first offshore services partner as part of this prestigious
body of MSPs."
MSAP was created using a wide base of criteria that encompasses a wide range of
managed service providers. These criteria include a review of certified members'
physical facilities, telecommunication connectivity, technology certifications for the
service desk agents as well as the degree to which their software tools follow the
highest standards for the delivery of available, scalable, and consistent services. By
covering buying and service delivery criteria that matter to customers, the MSAP
certification program tracks and measures a satisfactory level of professional and
business practices, helping MSPs to consistently deliver superior services to their
clients.
"This accreditation will give our customer base the highest confidence, that Patni
complies with the most stringent industry-wide standards in managed services," said
Douglas Fallon, senior vice president and head of Infrastructure
Management Services, Patni. "By being the first offshore services provider to
achieve this accreditation, we further strengthen our leadership role and differentiate
ourselves in this rapidly emerging sector of outsourced services."
Patni's Infrastructure Management Services help organizations optimize critical IT
staff with a complete portfolio of solutions and services for managing enterprise IT
infrastructures. Patni offers NOC-based, 24x7 automated management capabilities
that can be delivered anywhere around the world. The services are based on
standardized, open and scaleable architectures that comprise a diverse set of
systems and technologies critical to any enterprise IT organization. This enables
clients to reduce the total cost of IT operations and refocus resources on core
business activities, while also improving asset utilization and system availability.
The MSPAlliance, with almost 300 corporate members worldwide, is committed to
increasing reliability and dependability in the industry surrounding the value and
benefit of using Managed Service Providers to provide a wide range of missioncritical
services. In addition, the MSPAlliance collects data on the practice of
managed services on behalf of its members, to help them increase the value delivery
of IT to the organizations they serve.
