Patni to participate in SAP SAPPHIRE 2008 at Orlando

Patni SAP veteran Raghu Mahalingam to speak on ‘Increasing ROI
on SAP SCM investments’

ORLANDO, Florida, May 4, 2008: – Patni Computer Systems (BSE: PATNI COMPUT, NSE: PATNI, NYSE: PTI), a leading global IT services provider today announced that Raghu Mahalingam, Vice President and Head of SAP practice at Patni will speak on "Increase ROI on SAP SCM Investments with Composite Applications" at the Retail industry theatre on 5th May, 12:10 PM - 12:40 PM at the SAP SAPPHIRE 2008.

The conference, which will be held at Orlando, Florida from May 4 to 7, 2008, will focus on strategies, best practices, and instruction for teams that are running and evaluating SAP technologies.

Raghu Mahalingam heads the SAP Practice at Patni. He joined Patni in 1994 as Regional Sales Director (SAP Services) for US West coast. During his stay at Patni, Raghu has built several large relationships with bluechip customers and is spearheading the SAP partnership.

Raghu has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has been working in ERP consulting area for the last 10 years. Prior to Patni, Raghu worked in CMC for over 8 years and managed large complex IT projects
for diverse organizations such as Western Railways, Nhava Sheva Port Trust (Mumbai) and ONGC.

  1. Two Patni samples based on SAP NetWeaver platform: One leverages the Enterprise Service Architecture provided by SAP to implement B2B integration and the other leverages the SAP DUET platform for achieving user efficiency.
  2. Creating a mature CAPA implementation crucial to the life sciences industry: The bolt on is a composite that has been developed by Patni to show how one can automate CAPA process flows on SAP NetWeaver platform.
  3. Supply Chain Management analytics: The demo will provide an insight into Patni’s understanding of Supply Chain KPIs, SAP BW’s rich functionality and how it helps to measure the supply chain performance of a manufacturing/ distribution organization.
