The Challenge
Our customer is a small, aggressive startup designing its first router product. The
router includes content awareness and rich QOS features, resulting in several
large boards each contain a mixture of complex FPGAs, programmable processors,
and other large off-the-shelf components. The customer had an aggressive
schedule for system development, with a fixed end date governed by
demonstration at an interoperability show in order to close its first sale. Our
customer did not have verification engineers, an existing verification
methodology, or any verification tools, and they wanted to conserve venture
capital by not investing in these areas.
