The Challenge
Given Internet Economy challenges, low sales volumes and tough cost cutting
decisions, the client was facing a situation of finding out a MSP (Managed
Services Provider) who could efficiently support enterprise applications like JD
Edwards, Clarify and Agile remotely to allow them to focus on their products
without worrying about the IT infrastructure management after their previous
application service provider closed.
Given the constrained resources of finances and time, the challenge was to
quickly find an MSP who could provide managed services for these applications
economically and reliably. Patni's MSP team worked closely with end users and
business analysts to support and maintain the client's enterprise Application
infrastructure on a 7x12 basis.
The Solution
Patni's MSP team provided a great complement to the client's team. A detailed
Planning process resulted in comprehensive support and high availability
enterprise application infrastructure. Providing 7x12 basis support with 15
minutes response time for critical situation and accelerated support for
month end and year end extra job load situations.
Patni's proactive, self-corrective, automated application management and
alert system has made the client's enterprise application infrastructure
robust and highly available. With Patni's web-based case management system
provides all time easy access to Patni's MSP team for the client, ensuring that
their users and issues get right attention when needed.
