Evaluating SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) and its applicability |

| Abstract |
SAP Exchange Infrastructure (XI) forms the process integration layer of the SAP
NetWeaver stack based on Enterprise Service Architecture (ESA). It is an integration
technology and platform for achieving integration between heterogeneous systems. It not
only serves as a plain integration broker but also provides for Orchestrated Process
Control across distributed process components via its cross component Business Process
Management (ccBPM) tool.
This paper explains the benefits of using SAP XI as a middleware solution, suggests the various scenarios in which SAP XI can be used effectively, and highlights the key success factors necessary for a successful XI implementation.
