Building the foundation for an effective IT Governance strategy |

| Abstract |
Control over IT costs and alignment with business goals have long been at the top of CIO
wish lists. In the quest for delivering business value, IT Governance is fast emerging as a
key strategy for gaining real-time visibility into IT projects and implementations. However,
many IT Governance strategies do not deliver the desired impact as the best practices or
approaches have not been defined.
This Paper describes the critical steps necessary to build the foundation for a successful IT Governance strategy.
