Controlling Cost of Version Upgrade |
| |
| Abstract |
Version upgrades are critical for any ERP implementation. The cost of the upgrade depends on the way the instance has been implemented and maintained. In order to control the cost of migration, IT managers need to take many factors in to cognizance that effect the implementation.
This paper highlights some factors that are primarily relevant to Baan implementations and the corresponding
controlling methods.
Organizations maintaining a stable instance of Baan and considering a version upgrade need to consider multiple factors before the final decision, while organizations implementing Baan need to understand precautionary measures to make the future version upgrade less painful and cost effective.
