Patni is an active member of the Storage Networking Industry Association in the US and India. The mission of the SNIA is to lead the storage industry worldwide in developing and promoting standards, technologies, and educational services to empower organizations in the management of information.
With Patni’s deep knowledge in the Storage domain and its strong experience in servicing world leaders in the Storage Product space, Patni is working closely with the SNIA, in both the US and India in achieving solutions for easy integration and compatibility of multi-vendor storage appliances. Patni also plays a key role in developing a capable pool of storage professionals, through certification programs offered by the SNIA. Besides, Patni’s Storage professionals on various committees and technical working groups of the SNIA, help to jointly achieve the SNIA’s chartered objectives. |

Patni is an active member of the Distributed Management Task Force, Inc. (DMTF). The DMTF is the industry organization leading the development of management standards and the promotion of interoperability for enterprise and Internet environments. DMTF standards provide common management infrastructure components for instrumentation, control and communication in a platform-independent and technology neutral way. DMTF standards include the Common Information Model (CIM), communication/control protocols like Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) and the Common Diagnostic Model (CDM) initiative.
Patni’s functional knowledge in various industries blended with expertise in product development and related applications using latest tools and techniques ensures timely and quality development. This combined with our active involvement in the DMTF and other standard organizations as well as our extensive expertise in the Networking and protocol development areas over the years, provides the necessary background for assisting the DMTF in reaching its goals and objectives. |
